Fox News host Eric Bolling caused gasps around The Couch when he told Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) to learn a lesson from Whitney Houston and "step away from the crack pipe" during Thursday morning's edition of Fox and Friends.

Bolling later backtracked on his statements, saying his comments were just a joke.

"All right, before we get started," he said when the show returned from the commercial break. "I just want to say I was kidding about the crack pipe. Just kidding."

How can Americans watch FOX and claim they aren't racist bigots? Idiots! Making Money Being Mean and Moronic should be FOX's motto.

How can Americans watch FOX and claim they aren't racist bigots?

Pretty easy, some of us watch Fox to find out what crazy things a good portion of our country thinks. You don't have to agree with their positions to learn from Fox News.

I am not racist, just someone who tries to see both sides of any issue and figure out whats best for me, and so sometimes you have to listen to the crazyness that one side or the other spews.

I have actually stopped watching Fox or any news channel for the last 6 months or so, because of how completely crazy the "news" has become.

I enjoyed reading your comment. You are certainly more neutral than me. I am a constant news junkie but when I watch FOX I get mad so fast I want to throw somethi ng at the TV.

Let's see if I have this straight:

Elected official Maxine Waters calling fellow House Republican leadership "demons" = acceptable.

TV host wonders if (after repeated incidents in which Waters makes inappropriate comments about her political opponents and their supporters) perhaps she's on drugs = he must be a mean, racist, moronic biggot.

The hypocrisy never gets old for some...

It sounds insensitive, it doesn't sound racist. Questioning someone's crack usage after they say something stupid is rather common. Just not on TV.
